There is a bible verse that talks about the joy of the Lord Jesus Christ, despising the shame but looking onto the joy that was before Him, and I just want to encourage you that by the power of The Holy Ghost you can have a joyful heart that's full of true joy as you look forward to the great things that God is going to do in your life and the great things that He will do at the end of the ages.
So if you're dealing with a crushed spirit or you need to find gladness in your life again, then the Lord has greater joy that He wants to give you. He wants to show you the joy of His salvation in your life, and by faith may you receive a cheerful heart to live with hope and peace.

To have lasting happiness or joy, you have to do what God says and trust Him with your life! This kind of happiness is not happiness that the world gives but it is joy that Lord gives you by His Spirit as The Lord Jesus said
- John 15:9- 11 As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. 11 I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
As you can see from this passage, fulfilling the purpose of God through Christ is how you get lasting joy. God given-purpose is the means by which you get joy and lasting happiness. Let's look at this further.
Whenever a Human Being discovers His or Her purpose, that Human Being Finds What it Means to be Exceptional and will Find God-given happiness.
Your purpose is not what you want to do. Your purpose, however, is what you are meant to do for a lifetime.
Let me say it again. Your purpose is not what you want to do right now or in 10 years. Your purpose is what you are meant to do for a lifetime. In other words, your purpose is not dictated to you based on your circumstances and your momentary desires and whims. Your purpose is revealed to you through your everlasting desires or passions, your everlasting talents or your uncommon millionaire talents, and your essence in life.
Joy and Genius are in Fulfilling Your God-given Purpose. Your Purpose Makes You Happy.
Your purpose is the essence of your life. OK, let me say it again. Your purpose is the essence of your life, and this means that wherever you go in life and in whatever circumstance you may find yourself, your purpose will go with you.
It doesn't leave you because you have jumped off course and done something crazy.
It doesn't leave you because you deviated from the path that you were meant to go down.
It stays with you as an internal compass for what you are meant to do for a lifetime. So, when you look at your lifetime goals, you have a great indication of your purpose, but this still can be lacking.
You must find your real purpose. You must go to the root of your essence for living and the essence of your life because the essence of your life is the Manufacturer’s blueprint for the reason why you were born. You can only find it in your essence. You can only find that deep down on the inside when you connect with God.
So, there is a work that you have to do in order to find that purpose. But the end result or the reward for doing that is finding your unique flair - your genius- and as a result your God-given happiness.
Your Purpose Makes You Exceptional and Happy
You find out what it means to be exceptional because there's only one person in this entire world that has your purpose, and that is you, and you are not a cookie-cutter work. You do not have the same life purpose as everyone else or the same destiny as everyone else. You are unique. You are special, and finding the essence of your life is to find your purpose and to find your purpose is to find what it means to be exceptional.
So, you see, purpose is a big deal and it’s what makes you mightily exceptional.
Your greatest strengths and talents are always found in the place of your purpose.
Whenever you think purpose, you open the door for your uncommon purpose-driven talents to be revealed to you.
Your Uncommon talents are uncommon because you are uncommon. Uncommon individuals are people who have uncommon passions or everlasting desires. And uncommon desires come from uncommon purposes.
Do you want to know how to find your purpose? You have to find it through the uncommon drives in you when you submit to God.
I'm reminded of this bible verse:
For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).
With the help of God, your uniqueness will also reveal to you your purpose. Your uncommonness will reveal to you your purpose. Because it’s your difference that houses your purpose. It’s in the area of your difference that you are able to do something that no one else in this world is able to achieve. When you locate your difference, you’ll be in the vicinity of locating your purpose.
Your purpose is not common.
We see common when it exists in almost everything. Common is not hard to come by - it’s like the dirt on the road, or the air in the atmosphere. But your purpose doesn't exist in everybody. And that's why your uncommon purpose-driven talents are locked up in your passions, and they are purpose-driven.
Happiness Tip: God Considers You As Special, and You Need to Know and Accept This.
Here's a powerful bible verse on this topic.
1Peter2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
You being special is not a statement of vain pride, but one of reality.
There's no one with the same purpose as you and no one with the same unique passions or “everlasting desires” as you.
Trust me, for even when I feel down, I still find myself feeling happy. I'm happy because God revealed Himself to me and showed me who I am in Him and the purpose He decided for my life even before I was born - just like Jeremiah.
There’s no one with the same DNA. Only you and no one else!
This is the bible verse that confirms this: Psalm 139:14 says, "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
There’s no one else with the same fingerprint as you. Even twins do not have the same fingerprint. And even twins don't have exactly the same DNA, even though the majority of their DNAs are the same.
Happiness Tip: Celebrate Your God-Given Uniqueness
Even identical twins are unique!
Think about that! Here’s another thing you should bear in mind.
There's no one on this earth that can do what you do and there's no one on this earth that can see what you see and be who you are.
You are unique. You are special. And when you find everything that is uncommon and unique about you, you will be able to piece together your purpose with God’s help.
This is worth investing in. Nothing makes you happy like serving God the way He planned for you to serve Him!
Your Joy Will Be Complete When You Do What God has Called You Specifically To Do
Let’s find your purpose now.
List 10 Desires That You Have To Empower the World or Improve The World That Are Uncommon About You. Start each one with: “I want to….”
-------------------------- ----------------------------
-------------------------- ----------------------------
------------------------- ---------------------------
------------------------- ---------------------------
-------------------------- ----------------------------
Now, see if you can find a common thread. Usually, if you go deep enough, you’ll find that the desires or goals that you have show a common thread, and it may even feel like you’re saying the same things with different words. That’s because you’re in the neighborhood of your purpose- it’s who you are regardless of the words or activities that you do.
Now, see if you can make a one-line desire statement that encapsulates all that you’ve mentioned above.
“I want to…”
Go ahead:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, let’s turn this into a purpose statement. Replace “I want to” above with “My purpose is to”, and then just fill in the rest of your statement above:
Go ahead:
“My purpose is to...”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There you go, you now have a great idea of what your purpose is! As we know the purpose of man is to worship and glorify God, and this has to do with our service to Him (Romans 12:1-2). But there are different types of servants. This process helps you to identify your difference.
Some are called to be pastors, others business-people, others consultants, others school teachers etc. All of them however are servants of God.
Check out this bible verse.
More Bible Verses On The Happiness That Walking in God-given Purpose Gives
"We have different gifts according to the grace given us. If one’s gift is prophecy, let him use it in proportion to his faith; if it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is giving, let him give generously; if it is leading, let him lead with diligence; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully." Romans 12:7
You’ll find that as you grow, you’ll gain more clarification, but this is a great place to start!!
Because as you commit your way to the Lord, He directs you by your desires to the area He wants you to serve in(Proverbs 3:5-8, Psalm 37:4, Philippians 2:13). This doesn't mean that you don't serve in different areas in ministry etc. but it does mean that He has a main or predominant place of service for you and it may not be within the 4 walls.
So, here’s what I want you to do.
Write 10 Talents of yours that make you happy because you simply love to do them. Don’t think about your standard talents only, think about those things that people may not consider to be talents like studying patterns in politics, or seeing what others don’t see.
Let’s start:

-------------------------- --------------------------
------------------------- -------------------------
------------------------- --------------------------
------------------------- ---------------------------
Which of these talents makes you feel the most alive? Which of them makes you feel like this is what you’re supposed to be spending the rest of your life doing?
Let’s Get Five of Those (that you mentioned earlier):
------------------------------
------------------------------

Now, of the 5 that you mentioned above, which of these makes you feel the most connected to your purpose (that we discovered earlier). Which of them makes you feel the greatest “high”? Which one makes you feel like this is THE talent of your purpose?
Write it here:
