Where in the Bible does it say that once saved, always saved?

The Scriptures don't explicitly say once saved, always saved,  However, the Scriptures do share this teaching or doctrine. The Scripture that clearly outlines this to us is John 5:24 and here the Lord Jesus Himself is speaking, and He shares what takes place for those who believe in Him, those who hear His voice, those who hear His Word. He was actually sharing this with those who did not believe in Him.

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24)

    Why don't people believe?

    Because they're not His sheep.

25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

His sheep, are the ones who God created in Him (Ephesians 2:10), those who God gave to Him, so they would recognize their Lord, their master, because they are in Him, and thus have the connection to Him.

Those who do not believe were not given to Him by God. Read the Lord Jesus' words:

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (John 6:37-39)

Can you see the theme of once saved, always saved there? Anyone who comes to Him are those whom the Father has given Him and He shall never cast them out! He shall not lose any of them and He shall raise them up at the last day!

Now, the apostle Paul Ephesians 2 shares with us that this work of God in saving us was done before we have received grace from before the foundation of the world, before anything was here, before Adam and Eve, we received this grace.

    This was God's plan.

But the in the fullness of time, God sent forth his Son, the Lord Jesus Himself, to fulfill that which God had already planned before the foundation of the world.

But in John 5:24 the scriptures share that he that heareth the Lord's words and believeth on Him that sent him, the Father, have everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation.

Notice that they receive everlasting life at the moment that they believe, in the present.

This is also echoed by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:13

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

You can't lose everlasting life for if you lose everlasting life, you never had everlasting life, because everlasting life is outside of time.

It is something that cannot be entered into in time, so to speak, it is something that God Himself has to give to you. So it's not your works that determine everlasting life. No. It is the work of God that determines whether or not you have everlasting life.

And the Scriptures declare that those who hear Him and believe on Him, that sent him have everlasting life. And look at what it says, And they shall not come into condemnation. They shall not come into condemnation, means that they shall never lose their salvation.

They shall never be condemned. Why? Because they have everlasting life.

And as we know from scripture in Ephesians 2, this is the work of God, lest any man should boast.

But they have also passed from death unto life.

We know that Adam, through Adam, death entered. But through Christ, Jesus, life enters. So what He's saying to pass from death unto life is to pass from the old nature, the old creation, to the new creature, the new nature. Read Full Article on Once Saved, Always Saved- It's a must read!

And this new nature we know, is born of God, of the incorruptible seed, as scripture says in 1Peter and we know this incorruptible seed is The Word of God.

And since the Word of God endures forever, we know that our salvation will endure forever, because the Word of God does not fail, but shall prosper that for which it was sent.

We know that God will keep us until the day of of the Lord. And in fact, this is what the Scriptures say in Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, illustrating that The One who is doing it is the Word Himself.

It is God Himself performing His Word, not causing our salvation, by His word to return unto Him, void, but prospering that for which He sent it.

So the believer is being prospered in salvation by God Himself, and because God does not fail in doing what He says he's going to do, so too the believer shall not and cannot lose his or her salvation.

Now, what the believer can do is lose some of his or her rewards by what they do in their body, but the work of salvation is the work of God and not of man.
