Where Did The Lord Jesus Die?
The Lord Jesus died on a hill called Golgotha, a name that means the place of the skull.
This is interesting because in the book of Genesis the Lord said concerning the seed of the woman that He would crush the serpents head but the serpent would bruise His heel, illustrating the Lord's triumphant victory over sin, and placing all things under His feet as the scripture has said.
Location of The Lord Jesus' Death?
- The Lord Jesus died outside the city walls of Jerusalem.
- He died on a cross on a hill called Golgotha or the Place of a Skull.
- The Lord Jesus died on the cross not by loss of blood.
- He died at a place called Golgotha also called Calvary.
But here is the interesting bit. Abraham and Isaac were provided a sacrifice of a ram (male sheep) to replace Isaac on the altar by God Himself. Likewise, The Lord Jesus provides Himself as the lamb to be slain for the sins of the world in a very close location.

Here's another interest fact. In Genesis the Lord said that the seed of the woman shall be bruised by the serpent, but He (the seed- The Lord Jesus) shall crush the serpent's head. The Lord Jesus' crucifixion site on Golgotha is a pictoral fulfillment of this for he is at this site, crushing the serpent's head at the site conjectured to be the burial location of Goliath's skull.
1 Samuel 17:54:
“And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem.”
Golgotha is just outside Jerusalem.
Some Jewish and Christian traditions suggest this possibility as the burial site of Goliath's skull though it is not confirmed historically. But since the race of giants were made when fallen angels had intercourse with human women according to Genesis 6:2, it gives rise to an interesting finding if infact valid.
