What do you mean by SEO?

SEO means search engine optimization, and in the realm of SEO, you're focusing on helping the search engines understand your content and rank it appropriately. If your ministry has a website, you need local Church SEO done.

There are many different things that ministry website owners do that are not conducive to their ranking or their visibility on Google or other search engines. And this is where Search Engine Optimization comes in because it allows these website owners to fix their website so that the search engines can properly assess their content and rank them appropriately.

Find Out How We Can Help Your Website Grow with Church SEO

If you can optimize your content better than those who are in your niche, then you will rank better.

And so the aim of SEO is to ensure that your website gets as great a chance at visibility in the search engines.

And with this in mind, things like the title tag of your page is important because Google looks at it and says, "Okay, this is what the page is about" and it expects to find that unique content that was mentioned in the title tag of the page in the body of that page.

What's in the body or in the paragraphs of the content is also important because, that, of course, fills up the page and lets Google know what you are really looking  to rank for, in terms of what the focus of your content actually is.

And then, of course, we have internal linking, which is one of the things that John Mueller has said, is something that site owners can use to push that lever, so to speak, in helping them rank and helping Google understand their content.

So when site A links to site A on a different page that is an internal link, and those internal links, when it comes to anchor text or the visible words on the link, are things that Google and other search engines look at in terms of assessing content for their relevance, quality and what they should ideally rank for.
