Jezebel in the bible was King Ahab's wife who followed after false gods in Baal and Asherah worship.
She turned the heart of the king to idolatry in this regard. She also usurped his authority and put on the authority that pertains unto a man in direct violation of scripture.
Deuteronomy 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man,neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
Many prophets also followed in her idolatry, bowing their knees to Baal instead of to The True and Living God.
She was also seen to have disputes with the prophet Elijah and was later confronted, and killed by her eunuchs who threw her down under the direction of the man Jehu who later became Israel's 10th king.
