1 Corinthians 15:51-57

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 119:50

This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

Hope in God Will Help You in Grief

But the main thing that you have to bear in mind is that God made provision for you to know where you're going to spend eternity. It's a big question that people have as to what comes after this.

And sometimes when that question has not been answered, people don't know how to handle the fact that their loved one is gone. The scriptures in John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting or eternal life." And so, faith in Christ, in what He has done in dying and paying the price for sins, and then raising us to life unto God is really and truly the Bible verse that you need to hang on to.

When you are in a difficult or grieving season, it's not easy. Grief is sometimes very pervasive, and sometimes you can't seem to shake it, but with the hope that we have in Christ Jesus, you can be of good courage and hope in knowing that God has secured our future and has given us eternal life.

Do you have eternal life?

Do you know how to get eternal life?

How To Get Eternal Life

The Bible says that believing in the heart is unto righteousness, but confession with the mouth is unto salvation. So once you believe in your heart that God sent the Lord Jesus Christ into the earth, today to save you from your sins, that he was risen again from the dead, as the scripture says, you shall be saved. And when you confess Him, as Lord over your life, in am outward way, this leads unto salvation.

So it is in knowing God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent that you indeed have eternal life according to John 17. In this time of grief it is our prayer, that you will find consolation in the Lord through all the funeral planning, in Jesus' mighty Name. Our scriptures below come from bot the Old Testament and the New Testament. May you find the bible readings you seek.

We hope that you're blessed by the scriptures for funerals above.
