What Does God Want You To Do Today?
God wants you to receive His Word today. Receiving God's Word is different from physically hearing God's word being preached or spoken. Receiving His Word is internalizing His Word until He speaks from it. The Bible says that He sent out his word and healed them. Are you in need of healing? Then, you should receive or believe His Word in your heart because His power will flow from there when you yield to Him.
God is sending His Word.
I can't tell you how many times God has answered my prayers because even sometimes when I think that He did not answer, I later discover that He did.
We can see that God is a prayer-answering God from both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Healing and Miracles Are In The Word of God
You can look at the lives of Moses, David, Joshua, Caleb, the Apostle Paul, and all of those great men of God and you can see that God strengthens or empowers those who put their trust in Him. You see, when God sends His Word, just as He sent the Lord Jesus Christ, He sends His ability with His Word. This is why in Isaiah 61:1 and reiterated by the Lord Jesus in Luke 4, "the Spirit of the Lord is upon Him because He has anointed Me"
He anoints you when He gives you His Word!
Today, Understand That God's Word is God Himself
You remember the Bible says in the Book of Exodus, that God came down to deliver his people and he came down by sending His word to Moses. Moses was speaking to God, as it were, out of a burning bush.
Whenever God sends His Word, He sends His power. And we see this demonstrated when Moses, by the command of The Lord, threw down his staff and it became a snake, and when he put his hand in his cloak and it became like a leper's hand. This is because God's word cannot be separated from Himself. He said it, so He performs it.
To Receive God's Word is To Receive God Himself!
To have His Word is to have Him and when God speaks His word into your spirit, you have the power of God; you have the life of God in you. This is detailed by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself in John 6:63.
To get the ball rolling, all that you have to do is receive His Word.
Sometimes, it's difficult receiving the Word of God, because even on a good day, our emotions can get the best of us. But the thing that we need to bear in mind is that the good work that He has begun in us, He has promised to complete it.
So regardless of the trouble that you're in, understand that His word is a refuge.
If you are in need of help and healing, understand that his grace is sufficient for you.
Today, my encouragement is that you receive His Word, and receive His word was gladness. Indeed, He sent His Word and healed them.
