Most people know how to identify greatness when they see it, and if it is anything worth pursuing, you should prepare yourself for people to be jealous and hostile towards you without a cause.
Whenever you start something great, you must prepare yourself for great opposition.
Because nothing great happens without overcoming great setbacks.
Some people, when they see someone who is carrying something great or something of value, seek to ostracize or belittle. And this is because many times they're jealous; they're jealous of the possibility that you have in your life because of what you have shared with them.
They may be jealous that you're not going to stay where you are or where you were for the rest of your life.
They’re afraid that you’re not going to stay in their group. And because you've stepped things up a notch, they're jealous because you're no longer where they are. You're no longer going to settle for less than who you truly are.
And so what they do is they try to emotionally blackmail you; making you feel like something is wrong with you or that you've done something wrong or that you have left them, or you've deserted them or something to that effect.
And the truth of the matter is you have done everything right in this area.
