Is it true that once saved, forever saved?
The answer is yes, for indeed, the Lord Jesus Himself said that we have everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation in John 5:24 so if we shall not come into condemnation, it means that in the future there is not a change.
There's not going to be a change from everlasting life into condemnation or into a place where we're not in communion or in fellowship with Him. He also says that we've passed from death to life.

A Complete Change Has Taken Place When Born Again
For indeed, when the Scripture says that we are new creatures and old things are passed away and all things have become new that word for new in the Greek talks about a complete change or something that has not existed before.
How can you return to a sinful state, separated from Him after an act of God that has never taken place before, that unites you to Him?
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit with Him. (1 Corinthians 6:17)
Are we because of sin removed from His Spirit which we are sealed with when we heard the gospel and believe in Him, even thou we are sealed with Him unto the day of redemption according to Ephesians 1:13? The Answer is no. We don't lose our seated positions in Christ Jesus with every spiritual blessing. For the loss of one would entail the loss of all, for we are members of one another!
Does Christ lose parts of His Body? No!
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. (Romans 12:4-5)
And so when the Lord Jesus shares that we've passed from death to life, He's sharing that the believer's nature has changed.
And we know from scripture that we are new creatures in him, and this new creature shall not die, because this new creature is created in Christ, Jesus Himself.
The Scripture says, In Philippians 1:6, being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
So He is the one that's performing the work. Read My Article on Once Saved, Always Saved- It's a must read!
And we know that in Philippians 2:13, It's God in you, who causes you to will and to do of His good pleasure.
So our salvation is based not on ourselves, but on God.
Do you know that the Lord's sheep (believers) were created in Christ Jesus? Since we're created in Christ Jesus, we cannot lose our salvation.
Here's the Scripture from Ephesians 2:10, For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God had before ordained that we should walk in them.
To be created in Christ, Jesus, before the foundation of the world, is to be created in the Word of God, the preincarnate Christ Jesus.
And because the word of God does not fail and endures forever so too shall we endure forever.
And just as the constituents of the Word of God, according to John 6:63 are spirit and life, so we have the Spirit of God and the life of God, which is everlasting because of the work that God did in Christ, Jesus, both in the time-period before the foundation of the world and ratified during the time of the Lord's birth, death, resurrection ascension in bodily form.
