Our Top Patience Scripture For You

James 1:2-7   2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Short Teaching on Waiting On The Lord

The reason for these Bible verses on the subject of patience is that there is a work that the Holy Spirit wants to do in your life. And without patience, this work will not be completed. There are some things that God wants to give you and wants to bring to you, but to receive these things, patience and waiting have to be involved!

Patience is Neccessary for Manifestation

If you don't have patience, some things will not be manifested in time. Patience is required for manifestation. Patience works. Many scriptures from the Old Testament and the New Testament will share with you the truth that when God works and He does things, there is a period when you have to wait.

Scripture says those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

Isaiah 40:28-31    28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Why is it that waiting is required? Because between the word spoken by God and the manifestation of that which He spoke, there is a period of time that is necessary to bring about the change in you and through you. This is key! God is more concerned with what's happening in you than what happens through you. The greater triumph is that which happens on the inside.

Learn Patience and Faith From The Lord Jesus Christ

But if you don't have patience, you will run away before you see the manifestation. And that's not what the Lord wants you to do.

The most patient person is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. There are some prayers that He prayed, particularly in John 17, that have not been fully manifested. But He waits!

And when you talk about patience, you have to undoubtedly talk about faith because they go hand in hand together. What does the Scripture say about faith? It says in Hebrews 11 And verse six, that those who come to God must believe that he is and he's a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him diligently seeking God.

God requires you to keep on going back. This is the work of patience.

The work of patience is the work of diligently seeking the Lord.

Again, the Scripture says those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Waiting on God is an essential part of the Christian life. You see, it's in the waiting that you develop and build perseverance.

Perseverance allows you to have immense patience as you walk the spiritual life out with great understanding.

And so for your personal or church Bible study, I want you to think about all the times that you had to wait; all the times when God didn't answer your prayer right away, and then I want you to think about all the times that what God gave to you was better than what you initially asked for.

God knows what's best for you. Patience is How He Gives You The Best.

You see, the Father knows what is best for us, but it is through our steadfastness and perseverance in our lives that we receive the reward of our faith.

So I encourage you by the grace of God to practice patience to endure hard times and tribulation because the trying of your faith produces patience and let patience have her perfect word that you will be complete and entire, lacking in nothing. This is our prayer in Jesus' mighty Name. We hope that you enjoyed our Scriptures for patience and waiting on the Lord today.
