Apostle Quinson Thomas: A Life of Ministry, Music, and Digital Advancement for the Kingdom of God
Apostle Quinson Thomas’ journey into ministry is one marked by divine interruption, obedience, and a persistent call that reshaped his life’s direction. Though originally determined to pursue a medical career and live what he viewed as a “normal life,” God interrupted his plans and led him into full-time ministry—an assignment he eventually embraced with conviction and humility. Baptized in the Spirit at around sixteen, Apostle Thomas committed himself to using every gift, talent, and grace the Lord entrusted to him to empower believers to walk confidently in their destinies.
His public ministry began in 2008 on the island of Tortola in the Virgin Islands, where he launched the weekly radio program Realizing Your Higher Calling. Reaching over one million potential households, the broadcast became a teaching and healing voice across the Caribbean, most notably, in the Virgin Islands. Many listeners testified of strength, encouragement, and deliverance through the messages shared. His influence continued to expand through preaching engagements, including ministering at the Church of Dr. J.C. Innocent, ThD (Grace and Glory International) (est.2022), as well as being invited by government officials to preach at the Virgin Islands Agricultural Fair held near the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (est. 2009). These invitations showcased the trust placed in his spiritual leadership across both ecclesiastical and civic spaces.
After marrying his high-school sweetheart, Jemema, in 2013 and relocating to the United States, Apostle Thomas extended his reach even further through Christian television. He was aired on two U.S. Christian TV stations (est. 2015), potentially reaching into 1.4 million homes and from 2019 through Alive Christians he ministers from Georgia to audiences nationwide. The ministry has reached over 191 different countries throughout the world with The Gospel. His written contributions on Academia.edu and his recognized authorship on Goodreads reflect his ongoing engagement in theological thought and spiritual instruction.
Alongside ministry, music has been a foundational pillar of Apostle Thomas’s life. With eight Distinctions from the Royal Schools of Music in London and more than 23 years of active service, he has played for multiple denominations—including St. George’s Episcopal Church and the Sea Cow’s Bay Methodist Church in the Virgin Islands, serving under two bishops and two superintendent ministers. His skills led to multiple invitations from the Governor’s Office of the Virgin Islands (UK) and the Attorney General of the Virgin Islands (UK) to perform at official functions, attesting to his excellence and professionalism. In the United States, he continued serving as a keyboardist for four ministries over an additional ten-year span.
In 2024, this deep musical foundation culminated in the establishment of the Alive Christians School of Music, created to equip churches with trained, confident musicians and to give individuals worldwide the opportunity to experience the joy and possibilities that come from learning an instrument.
Finally, Apostle Thomas is also a pioneer in Christian digital strategy, using his expertise in marketing and SEO to help ministries and Kingdom businesses strengthen their online presence. Through Alive Christians SEO Services, he assists churches and Christian businesses in expanding their digital reach, improving visibility, and spreading the Gospel more effectively in the online age.
Founder of The Alive Christians School of Music:
In 2024, Alive Christians School of Music was brought online by Apostle Quinson Thomas as a ministry of Alive Christians to build the music ministries of churches and share piano music with students who just want to learn to play for their personal enjoyment. Quinson's mission is to equip churches with pianists who can lead and enhance worship and give individuals everywhere the opportunity to develop their piano skills for God’s glory.
Under his guidance, The Alive Christians School of Music specialises in piano training with programs covering technique, music theory, hymn accompaniment, worship leadership through piano and composition. The School hires learned and distinguished teachers, many of whom serve in church ministry so we can combine technical skill with spiritual insight to help students develop skill and a heart for ministry.
Practical application is key to Apostle Quinson Thomas' approach for the school. Students are guided in how to support congregational worship, accompany choirs, lead praise teams and create meaningful musical experiences in the church setting. Online learning options extend our reach globally so students from anywhere can access quality piano training and ministry guidance.
By combining rigorous piano training with ministry impact, the Alive Christians School of Music is equipping a new generation of musicians to strengthen churches, inspire worshippers and share the power of music with the world.
